Handheld InGaAs power meter reading -70 to +10 dBm across all transmission windows from 850 to 1625 nm. dBm, dB and microwatt display modes, reference storage and a universal 2.5 mm port make it the everyday certification and troubleshooting tool of fiber crews. Testing and installation tools turn cable on a drum into certified, documented links. Fusion splicers, OTDRs, loss test sets and inspection scopes are what separate an installed network from a proven one — and they repay their cost in avoided repeat visits.
